Project Description

We have been working on fenders for some time to avoid getting wet in rain and wet weather conditions. But we need some folks to test it and also come up with better solutions than we have come up with. One of the problems with the current design is that the screws/bolts come loose in the plastic because of the vibrations.

That's a nice one Sune,

I've been working on this one a bit myself, but I've gotten to the point when I need to try if it's fitting, but I exported the file wrong and this is what came out of it:

-_- I have uploaded the design here - https://www.youmagine.com/designs/spine-fender-front-right but I didn't try to print it correctly yet, since I don't have so much free time these days. :) Feel free to play around with that one if you have some good ideas, I will post an update next month, I should have some more time then.

Cheers!

Damn Krocan it looks promising.

I have new version now which I finally had a chance to print, it fits well, needs some slight improvements but should work. Here is the video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_0IWUrQp9Yzakc5cVQ5LXlkQ3c/view?usp=sharing and you can download the design here: https://www.youmagine.com/designs/spine-fender-front-right-new. I will have to try how it helps in the rain, maybe it will need to be longer. In case somebody was curious, it was printed on Makerbot Replicator Z18 with 0.4 mm nozzle.

I just need rain now :)

That looks like it needs some rain for a testdrive!
